If you have not noticed but lately I have posted questionnaires I conducted with other bloggers.
I greatly appreciate the people who gave the time to participate. There is many more to be posted, however they will be published among my normal posts.
I have been out of rhythm lately with my posts and I have been focusing more on editing my draft.
My #fantasyfriday, weekly posts of short stories and poems have been neglected for too long.

Here is a short story I won a ‘Wollongong Short Story’ competition, 2016 and received publication in Tertangala Magazine 2016, June edition.
I hope you enjoy.
Five Stories High
Then the fire. Everything we had tried to rebuild was burning in our apartment. Who got me this eighteenth birthday present? It wasn’t what I wanted. (more…)
Hello bloggers/ writers/ authors or general online public.
If in case you were wondering if I was still alive. The answer is yes. I am alive and refreshed. I took a few days off from blogging. It was the Queens Birthday so most of Australia enjoyed a long weekend.
I spent the days camping up the coast and disconnected from the Internet with my partner. It was raining and cold but it brought us closer. We enjoyed each others company and hot teas brewed on our portable gas stove, around the campfire.
I feel refreshed and ready for online engagement. I missed my regular #tuesdaydiscussions and #fridayfantasy but all will be caught up on and ready by the weekend.
I hope everyone had an enjoyable week. Please tell me your current #WIP and if sometimes you just need a break from everything to reconnect the creative streams in your mind.
Till my next post, I will leave you on this note.
“If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”
As requested by a follower.
I wrote a short story about my Hometown, Port Macquarie NSW Australia.
I thought I would write out of my comfort zone, completely out of my zone.
A thriller short-story.
Please leave feedback, it is a little bit long but it should only take a couple of minutes to read.
Thank you and enjoy ✌️😃
The orange glow beamed through the lounge room’s window and onto Ethan’s face. He became conscious, his mouth was dry and his vision was distorted. It cleared and he saw both his parents’ corpses piled on one another, lying in a pool of dried blood on the cream-coloured carpet.
‘What have I done?’ said Ethan.
Today I embark on a new chapter in my life. (I bit of personal information for my followers).
I am starting a new job as a Casual Teacher’s Aid in Children with Autism.
I am excited to be involved with children’s education and to try give them the best opportunity they have in life.
Today I will be in English and History, both subjects I adore and feel very comfortable with.
I hope everyone’s Monday has them excited about a new chapter they can embark on. If so, share below 😃 Have a splendid day.

I watch the moon through the window;
sitting alone is a bad habit of mine.
Too many thoughts and floorboards creaking.
I stare at the white full-moon.
Lamington sky and an empty house beneath
my grandparents house. Built by them
and raised my mother and uncles.
In my memories they still live in there.
Christmas puddings shared along the long supper table,
a glow in the kitchen and living room.
Grandchildren laughing and running through rooms,
Parents talking in knitted jumpers, sipping brandy and wine.
A creak in the floorboard interrupts,
the house fades to black.
Black to staring at
the white full-moon.

Another week has come around and Tuesday’s discussion is upon us bloggers.
This weeks topic:
Write what you know.
At first, I thought it was referring to the genre. I know and love fantasy so I’ll write fantasy.
The more I have written, the more I have uncovered layers to this statement.
For me I have found, it isn’t the know of genre to write, it is the themes within the story. Whether it is fantasy, romance, thriller, mystery, fiction or non-fiction.
The themes of love, family, relationships and coming-of-age. These are the things I know, the things I have experienced.
I could amend the original statement, and suggest
Write what you have experienced.
For discussion, comment the themes you have experienced?
Is this how you interpret the original/ amended statement? Or was it something completely different?
If you think someone has an interesting point of view, invite them or share this post to them.

I missed last Friday but #Fantasyfriday is back with an exciting new installment.
I hope you enjoy,
And here are all the previous installments!
Happy reading and please leave feedback, (constructive criticism is never taken personally) like, or tweet if you enjoy it. Thank you.
P.s – for those who are reading and following the series, I changed the Brothers name. I wasn’t convienced sorry for any confusion.
‘Are you crazy? I could’ve been killed,’ I yelled at them, struggling to stand up.
‘I told you he’d be mad Mother,’ Santhara smirked.
‘At least he isn’t dead.’
I bent over, holding my hands on my knees. Taking in deep breaths to calm down.
A year ago, I wrote this short story whilst waiting at Central Station for my train.
I did a lot of writing while I commuted, it passed the time and there was a diverse range of people showing different character traits that I a could, as a writer, observe and write.
I hope you enjoy. I would appreciate some feedback if anyone has some to offer; I love constructive criticism.
“Next stop, Central Station. This train terminates at Central Station; please take all your belongings and rubbish with you. Thank you,” said the voice of the city rail train.
