Monday Motivation

The main difference between the amateur and professional writer is: one shows up to work every day and the other one doesn’t.

For today, take a look at the way you go about your writing. Although it’s great to have a set schedule for your craft, you may need to mix things up a bit to bring back your groove.

Take breaks in your writing if you can afford the time. Write for 10 or 15 minutes, take a 5-minute break, and repeat.

Get some exercise. Take a walk. Do a lap. Go get a coffee with a friend. Your mind and body are connected and if you feed one, you feed the other.

One of the best things you can do for your writing is to pick a time to do it every day. If you write better in the morning—pick a time and write for X-amount of time every day.

But for today, make this time and keep to it. Write through this time even when you have writer’s block. Write something—anything. Inspiration is on its way.

Post your writing schedule for today below.
