Each month, expectations of goals are created and outlined. Some are achieved but for me, the rest fell into the shadow of September.
Never seeing the light, we know it’s there, every now and then we acknowledge it, stare at it but do little to bring it to light.
My shadow follows into the new month.
Editing is my shadow. My goal of editing slipped from my fingers and fell into the abyss of September. My goals were never achieved but for October, the goal sways in the clouds, possible to touch but not an easy task.
What are your shadow goals that follow you into the new month?

September is not over. You can still at least start working on your goal.
One of my goals is to start running, every September I think and I just never do it.

Like you, I have a rough draft of a novel sitting in one of my online clouds just waiting for editing. Yet, somehow I never get to it. I ponder on all the great changes I can make that will improve the story but I never get to that point where I click on that file.

Somehow knowing it is there, would annoy me and make me edit it. Move forward, little edit by little edit. After a while it will motivate you to complete it 😊
